Charles Wyatt Hester, Sr.

Charles Wyatt Hester, Sr., 86, of 144 Spring Rd., Laurens, S.C., and husband of the late Betty Jean Berryhill Hester, passed away, Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at his home.

Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Ossie Wavel and Viola Bentley Hester.  A U.S. Army veteran, he was a 1962 graduate of Clemson University, was a retired engineer with Milliken, and was the owner of Hester Construction, Inc.  He was a member of First Baptist Church and attended Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 3, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel, with burial in Westview Memorial Park.

The family will be at the home and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary one hour prior to the service.
