Charlotte Brown

Charlotte Peeler Brown, 77, of 500 S. Limestone Street, Gaffney, S.C., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Mary Black Health System-Gaffney.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the Honorable Wesley L. “Buddy” Brown and daughter of the late Jasper Smith Peeler and Maggie Davis Peeler. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School and a graduate of Winthrop College where she received her undergraduate and Master’s degrees. She retired as an art teacher at Gaffney High School and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a member of CAVA Art Guild, established the AP Art Program at Gaffney High School, a member of the Thursday Night Bridge Club and a member of First Baptist Church in Gaffney.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 4, at Blakely Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, at Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the residence, 500 S. Limestone Street, Gaffney.
