William N. “Billy” Owings

William N. “Billy” Owings, age 84, of 206 Woodbluff Road, Laurens, S.C., and husband of Joan Curry Owings, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Hospice of Laurens County Hospice House. Born in Laurens, he was a son of the late Hicks F. and Carrie Burns Owings. Billy retired from First Union Bank. He was a Mason with Palmetto Lodge #19 and a Shriner with the Hejaz Temple with 50 years of service. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 25, at First Baptist Church. A private burial will be held in Westview Memorial Park. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at First Baptist Church immediately following the memorial service.
