Darrell Wayne Rodgers

Statesboro, Ga. – Mr. Darrell Wayne Rodgers, age 47, died on Monday, May 22, 2017, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. Mr. Rodgers was born in Rockwood, Tenn., but spent much of his childhood in Kodak, Tenn. He traveled the country installing paint booths for auto body shops. He moved to Gray Court, S.C ., and began working as a machine operator for Dispozo. Mr. Rodgers later worked for Kufner Textiles and then Torrington, now known as JTEKT-Koyo. He worked at both Clinton, S.C., and Sylvania, Ga., locations, starting as a machine operator and worked his way up to his most recent position as a launch analyst in Sylvania. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 26, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro, Ga. The family will receive visitors following the service.
