Molly Pruitt Pitts

Molly Pruitt Pitts, 85, of 129 Fleming Mill Rd., Laurens, S.C., and wife of the late James Alton “Jack” Pitts, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Laurens County Hospital. Born in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late Wyatt Aiken and Lois Marie Murdock Pruitt. Mrs. Pitts was the former co-owner with her twin sister, Polly Atkin, of M & P Fashions.  She also served as a special needs assistant in Laurens School District 55. Interment will be in Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Honea Path at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 12.  A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at St. James United Methodist Church in Laurens. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends on Thursday, May 11, at The Kennedy Mortuary from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.thekennedymortuary.com.
