CHS tennis advances to semis

The Clinton boys’ tennis team advanced to the Class 3A semifinals with a 6-0 victory over Camden.

Clinton swept all five singles matches, with three having to go a full three sets. Robert Powell (No. 2 singles), Ike Waldron (No. 3) and Tyler Trevino (No. 4) all won their matches in three sets, with Waldron taking the third set of his match by a score of 15-13.

Clinton will host West-Oak Wednesday at 5 p.m. The winner will advance to Saturday’s state championship.
