Raiders’ softball season ends at Byrnes

The Laurens Raiders’ softball season is over after a 3-0 District II final loss at Byrnes.

Byrnes pitcher Kasey Widmyer went the distance, allowing just two hits and one walk, while striking out four. The Rebels’ offense was held to five hits by Laurens pitcher Rachel Delio, but five Raiders errors helped do the team in.

Delio suffered the loss despite the five-hit performance, allowing three walks. She also struck out one.
