The Laurens Raiders’ football team has announced its 2017 varsity schedule, and it will again feature the county championship as the season’s opening game.
Laurens and Clinton will meet Aug. 25 at K.C. Hanna Stadium. Clinton won last season’s meeting with Laurens.
After the game with Clinton, Laurens will go on the road to play at Chapman (Sept. 1) and Irmo (Sept. 8) before hosting Boiling Springs (Sept. 15). Laurens will then play at Dorman (Sept. 22) before playing its final three home games of the regular season – Sept. 29 vs. Hillcrest, Oct. 6 vs. Wade Hampton and Oct. 13 vs. Riverside.
Laurens then goes on the road for its final two games. The Raiders visit Mauldin on a Thursday night (Oct 19), and will then have its final game, Oct. 27, at rival Greenwood.
