James Ryan “Scatter” Satterwhite
James Ryan “Scatter” Satterwhite, age 73, of 582 Crawford Road, Hickory Tavern, husband of Peggy Griffin Satterwhite, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Born in Mountville, S.C., he was the son of the late James Wister “P.J.” and Corrie Davenport Satterwhite. He retired from Southeastern Freight Lines in Mauldin and was the owner of Tavern Marine in Hickory Tavern. James served nine years in the SC National Guard. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel with burial following in Westview Memorial Park with military honors.
