LCSO deputy charged with domestic violence

A Laurens County Sheriff’s Deputy has been placed on administrative leave without pay after being arrested on a domestic violence charge in neighboring Greenwood County.

Sgt. Jeremy McMahan was arrested Saturday night by the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office and charged with second-degree domestic violence. He was transported to the Greenwood County Detention Center and has since bonded out.

According to a release from LCSO Chief Deputy Jarvis Reeder, an internal investigation will take place by the LCSO.
