James Barth “JB” Vanderford

Mountville – James Barth “JB” Vanderford, age 84, widower of Shirley Vanderford, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at his home. He was born in Lockhart, S.C., and was the son of the late Barth and Pearl Wright Vanderford. Rev. JB, as many knew him, was a Church of God Preacher for many years and spent his life devoted to sharing and preaching God’s Word. He also proudly served his country for 43 years as a member of the South Carolina National Guard. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 24, at 2 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton. Burial will take place at Pinelawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home, 3230 Puckett Ferry Road, Mountville, SC 29332.
