Reeder signs with Alderson Broaddus

Clinton High School football player Donte Reeder announced his decision to sign a National Letter of Intent and continue his career at Alderson Broaddus University Thursday.

Reeder made the announcement during a morning assembly in the school’s auditorium. Reeder later said he’s angling toward a potential education major, and would like to come back to Clinton and be a coach some day.

“It felt very homey. Everybody felt like family. Everyone came up and talked to me like I was already there.”

William Penn, Catawba and Benedict College also showed interest.

“Alderson first offered me (a scholarship),” Reeder said. “I just really want to go with them.”

Alderson Broaddus is located in Philippi, W.Va.
