4 Raiders sign for college

LAURENS – Anna Stevenson, Mattie Cantrell, Summie Carlay and Jalin Walker all realized their college dreams Thursday afternoon when she announced their official plans during a ceremony at Laurens High School.

Stevenson will play volleyball at Auburn, while Cantrell will play softball at Anderson University. Carlay and Walker, who are graduating after the first semester of their senior years at Laurens, are respectively going to South Carolina and Coastal Carolina.

The ceremony was attended not just by family, coaches and teammates, but also was witnessed by much of the student body that packed the rafters of the high school’s main gymnasium.
