Clinton tennis advances to quarters

SENECA – The Clinton Red Devils girls’ tennis team advanced to the quarterfinals of the SCHSL Class 3A playoffs Monday, picking up a 4-3 victory over the Seneca Bobcats.

Gracie Waldron and Elizabeth Jones teamed up to win the No. 1 doubles match that clinched the victory for the Red Devils. Each player also won their No. 1 and 2 singles matches, respectively, while Clinton’s Mary Katherine Kelly won at No. 3 singles to help Clinton advance.

Clinton will host to Woodruff in Wednesday’s quarterfinal match, which is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m.
