Beulah Lawson Bishop, age 87, of Rocky Springs Church Road, Laurens, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016, at Hospice House of Laurens County. Born in Madison County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Donald and Eulala Miller Lawson. Robert Hay Brown, 91, formerly of Rock Hill, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at the Hospice House of Laurens County in Clinton. Born in Rock Hill, he was a son of the late John Amburst and Daisy Glauzier Brown. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill with visitation at the cemetery immediately following the graveside service. Mr. Jerome Leslie Burnside, 66, of 8862 Highway 56 South, Kinards, South Carolina, died Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Self Regional Hospital, Greenwood, SC. He was born June 5,1950, to the late James And Maggie Burnside. Services were held on Thursday, July 28, at Brooker-Blakely All Faith Chapel ( Whitten Center) Clinton. Burial was in Orchard Park Memorial Gardens, Clinton.

Josephine Young Cheeks died Thursday, July 28, 2016. Born in Laurens County, she was the daughter of the late Emma Lizza Young and Frank Dunlap. She was adopted as an infant by the late Jim and Sarah Young whom she loved very much. A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast Chapel, with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 p.m.

Born in Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late Luther S. and Gertrude Elizabeth Gilmer.
