Pearlie Shaw Abrams, 78, of 240 Todd Road, Gray Court, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the St. Francis Hospital, Downtown, Greenville. Born in Laurens County,  she was a daughter of the late Lucille Jones Shaw and Grover Shaw Sr. Funeral service was held Sunday, October 19, at the Center Rabun Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Rock Hill – Lt. Col. Raymond G. Andrews, US Army (Ret), 78, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at his home. The funeral service was Tuesday, October 21, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill. Burial will be in Fort Jackson National Cemetery on Wednesday, October 22, at 2 p.m. Born in Pensacola, Fla., he was a son of the late James Ellis Andrews and the late Annie Findlay Smith Andrews. George Washington Arnold
, 77, of 30 Wilkins Street, Greenville, died Friday, October 17, 2014.  Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Jake Arnold and Nora Downs Arnold. Funeral service was held Saturday, October 25, at the Beasley Funeral Home Chapel, Greenville, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Garden.

Wilma B. Bell, 81, of Laurens, went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2014. She was born on January 6, 1933 in Pine Creek, Minn. She was predeceased by her husband Ted Bell. Memorial Services were held Wednesday, October 15, at Lakeview Baptist Church in Greenwood.

Lillie Mae Boyd, 92, of 209 Lynn Avenue, Laurens, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of Budd Tribble and Dottie Carter Tribble. Funeral service was held Sunday, October 26, at the C.D. Beasley Memorial Chapel of the Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens, with burial in the New China Baptist Church Cemetery.

Julius Rudolph "Sonny" Boyter Jr., 76, of Laurens, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2014, at Regency Hospital in St. Francis Downtown. Born in Laurens, he was the son of the late Julius Rudolph (Rudy) Boyter Sr. and Elizabeth Moore Hughes. Barbara Ann Brown, 59, of 197 Fairground Road, Laurens, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the St. Francis Hospital, Downtown Greenville. Born in Newberry County, she was a daughter the late Willie Wise and Louise Sims. Funeral service was held Tuesday, October 21, at the Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn, with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Laurens.

Larry Wayne Brown, 63, affectionately known as "Paw-Paw" of 115 Crest Rd., Gray Court, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014, at Laurens County Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Wheeler and Geneva Pressley Brown. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Gray Court. Ralph Benjamin Capps Jr.
went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 20, 2014. Born on November 12, 1943, he grew up in Laurens and the son of Ralph B. Capps Sr. and Margaret Franks. A celebration of his life was held Friday, October 24, in the chapel at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home in Rock Hill. This was followed by a graveside service at Bellview Baptist Church in Laurens.

Mary Sumeral Clem, 82, of 303 Calhoun Street, Laurens, and widow of Douglas Walter Clem, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at National Healthcare Center of Laurens. Born in Fountain Inn, she was a daughter of the late Adolphus "Dock" and Maude Hughes Sumeral. Romaine Deyette Scarlett Dodd was born Feburary 7, 1967. She passed away August 20, 2014 at 47 years of age.  A memorial service in her honor will be conducted on St. Simons Isle, Ga., on Oct. 31, 2014 at Epworth by the Sea Church at 2 p.m.

Wilma Foster Gwinn, of Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center, Laurens, widow of Charles "Lefty" William Gwinn, died Wednesday, October 9, 2014. Born in Mountville on May 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late James Clarence and Laura Lake Foster. A memorial service was held in Rasor Chapel at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center on Monday, October 13. Wayne E. Hale, 64, of 4182 Hwy. 49, Laurens, died Saturday, October 25, 2014, in the Laurens Memorial Hospital. James Douglas McClain, 81, of 1104 Smith St. Ext., Donalds, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at his home. Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late James Aiken McClain and Ruth Bannister Martin. Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 1, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with private burial. Betty Jones Mobley, 64, of 607 Hunter Court, Laurens, died Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Palmetto Health Richland Hospital, Columbia. She was a daughter of the late Arthur Lee Jones and Elizabeth Franklin Jones. Funeral service was Tuesday, October 14, at the C. D. Beasley Memorial Chapel of the  Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens, with burial in the Westview Memorial Garden.

Jerry Neely, 63, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the Quillen Manor, Fountain Inn.  Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late George Elbert Neely and Lillie Mae Westfield Neely. Funeral service was held Monday, October 27, at the New Bethlehem Baptist Church, Princeton, with burial in the church cemetery.

Johnny Wayne O’Dell, 61, of 22 E. Summit Drive, Ware Shoals, died at his home, Wednesday, October, 15, 2014. Mrs. Thelma Wilkinson Riddle, 80, of 101 Sequoia Drive, Summerville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Mrs. Riddle was born and raised in Cheshire, England, and was the last of five girls born to George and Gertrude Wilkinson. Graveside services were held Friday, October 24, at M.J. Nathaniel Webb, 69, of 81 S. Textile Street, Apt. B-8, Greenville, died Sunday, October 12, 2014 at his home. Born in Greenville County, Greenville, he was a son of the late Douglas Webb and Elizabeth Davenport Webb. Penny Melissa Eubanks West, 43, resident of 107 Sunnywood Street, Hodges, died October 19, 2014 at her home. Born in Laurens County, February 24, 1971, she was a daughter of the Alice Faye Godfrey Jones and Lloyd Jones. Memorial services were Sunday, October 26, at Turkey Creek Baptist Church, 236 Turkey Creek Road, Ware Shoals. In addition, the family will host a celebration of Penny’s life with close friends and family at a later date in Woodruff.
