William Cudd Austell, 92, known by family and friends as Bill, passed away at his residence at Rolling Green Village on September 22, 2014. Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Lewis and Lilloree Austell. A receiving of friends was held in McKissick Refectory at Christ Church Episcopal on Thursday, September 25, with a celebration of life and Holy Eucharist immediately following in Markley Chapel. Wilma B. Bell, 81, of Laurens, went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2014. She was born on January 6, 1933 in Pine Creek, Minn. She was predeceased by her husband Ted Bell. Memorial Services were held Wednesday, October 15, at Lakeview Baptist Church in Greenwood.

Larry Boyd, 59, died Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the McCall Hospice House, Simpsonville. Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Sammie Boyd and Willie Mae Boyd. Funeral service was held Friday, October 3, at the Golden View Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Beasley Funeral Home, Greenville was in charge of arrangements.

Julius Rudolph "Sonny" Boyter Jr., 76, of Laurens, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2014, at Regency Hospital in St. Francis Downtown. Born in Laurens, he was the son of the late Julius Rudolph (Rudy) Boyter Sr. and Elizabeth Moore Hughes. Mary Sumeral Clem, 82, of 303 Calhoun Street, Laurens, and widow of Douglas Walter Clem, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at National Healthcare Center of Laurens. Born in Fountain Inn, she was a daughter of the late Adolphus "Dock" and Maude Hughes Sumeral. Irene Mickens Cromer was born March 13, 1937 in Laurens County to the late Albert and Susie Mickens. She went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 3, 2014 at her home in Clinton. Services were held Wednesday October 8, at the David and Jeanette Goins Memorial Chapel at Goins Funeral Home with burial at Pleasantview Baptist Church in Gray Court. Romaine Deyette Scarlett Dodd was born Feburary 7, 1967. She passed away August 20, 2014 at 47 years of age.  A memorial service in her honor will be conducted on St. Simons Isle, Ga., on Oct. 31, 2014 at Epworth by the Sea Church at 2 p.m.

Sylvia Pauline McCall Farmer, 67 of 1631 Drake Road, Donalds, died Thursday, October 2, 2014, at her home. Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late James Sylvester McCall and Maudie Pauline Alewine McCall. Born in Mountville on May 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late James Clarence and Laura Lake Foster. A memorial service was held in Rasor Chapel at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center on Monday, October 13. Billie John Hellams, 80, husband of Bobbie Bragg Hellams, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 28, 2014. Betty Jones Mobley, 64, of 607 Hunter Court, Laurens, died Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Palmetto Health Richland Hospital, Columbia. Barbara Faye Bible Murray, 74 of Laurens went to receive her final reward on October 4, 2014. She was surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. R.E. Johnny Wayne O’Dell, 61, of 22 E. Summit Drive, Ware Shoals, died at his home, Wednesday, October, 15, 2014. Robert Paul Roberts Sr., 69, of 76 Double O. Finley Road, Laurens, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the home of his daughter, Angela Overdier, in Gray Court.
