Everette Stephen Allman Sr., 70, formerly of 103 Jackson St., Clinton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at Heardmont Nursing Home in Elberton, Ga. Born in Clinton, he was a son of the late Joseph Everette and Annie Josephine Campbell Allman. Graveside services will be held in PInelawn Memory Gardens at 5 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2014. The family will be at 402 Clemson St., Laurens, and 147 Green Tree Rd., Anderson, and will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service. Jimmy Ray Beasley III, 19, formerly of 1584 Fort Lindley Rd., Laurens, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center. Randy Michael "Mike" Chapman passed away at his home on Monday, Aug. 4 at the age of 55. Mike was born in Greenwood and graduated from Laurens High School in 1976. The visitation and memorial service were held at Sharon Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4734 Neely Ferry Rd., Laurens, on Saturday, Aug. 9.
Jacqueline Cunningham, 54, of 272 Winetta Street, Laurens, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014 at the Laurens County Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Taylor Cunningham and Nellie Henderson Cunningham. Funeral service was held Sunday, Aug. 10, at the St. Paul Baptist Church with burial in the Smyrna AME Church cemetery.

Lt. Col. Alton Heyward Evatt, 84, formerly of Trinity Church Road, Laurens, passed away on Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at Agape Senior Assisted Living. Marjorie Neal Garrett, 79, of 2154 Whelon Rd., Laurens, and widow of Edwin Marshall Garrett Sr. passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014 at her home. Pebble Louise Hall, 48, of 109 Able Drive, Laurens, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 8, 2014, at her home. Born in Macon, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Ernest Smith and Joyce Louise Montjoy. Thomas Aubrey Hudson, 91, has passed from this world on Aug.11, 2014, to his new and better home with our Lord Jesus. Tom was the third son of the late E.K. Hudson Sr. and Nellie Burley Hudson, born in Greenville. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at Lucas Avenue Baptist Church. Virginia Alice Traynham Jennings, 70, of 173 Mt. Pleasant Estates Rd., Laurens and the widow of Charles Jennings, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014 at the Regency Hospital in Greenville. She was born in Greenwood County and was a daughter of Hazel Allison Chapman Traynham and the late Cecil Traynham. Alfornia “Junie” Ligon Jr., 58, of 418 S. Cook Road, Cross Hill, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, in Cross Hill. He was a son of Janie Ruth Theodore Ligon and the late Alfornia Ligon Sr. Funeral service was held Saturday, Aug. 2, at the St. John Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

John Earl McCalla, 69, of 4018 Old Spartanburg Hwy., Moore, passed away Monday, Aug. 11, 2014 at his home. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Allen and Lucille Conder McCalla. Lewis Hampton “Wayne” Quinn, 69, of 1197 Elmore Road, Laurens, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Greenville Health System. Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Lewis Edgar and Gladys Rudder Quinn.
