Born November 29, 1929, in Huntington, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Chris and Annie Lewis Anest. , 76, of 372 Union Hwy., Cross Anchor, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016. A native of Laurens County, she was the wife of Bill Brown of the home and the daughter of the late Luther Jefferson and Maggie Stribling Willard. The body will be taken to the home on Saturday, April 23, where the  family will receive friends. George "Joe" L. Griffin Sr., age 79, of 100 Sloop Dr., Laurens, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital. He was born in Abbeville County and was a son of the late Tullie Eugene Griffin Sr. and the late Pearl Gregory Griffin.
